This page is where I talk about why I created this site and the history of it
since it's been around for four years, going on to be five years in April's Fool
Day. What a long time.
At first, I used to be extremely obsessed - I mean
extremely obsessed - with Mars so I made a shrine
devoted to him. But of course, if you were one of the early visitors who took a
gander at my site, you would probably still remember that there used to be bright ugly
backgrounds and animations that doesn't even goes with the site or Mars himself.
Then after some changes, it used to be dark red background with bright pink font with some
poorly drawn strawberries around on the home page. Then I changed it again after
a while to black with ugly background image of Mars I sketched in person and
edited with a program. The font was Comic Sans and yellow. It used to be in English/Japanese
because like I mentioned - I was very obsessed at that time so I looked around
on the
Japanese sites (because that was all there was to look if you wanted something
Ultimate Muscle related.) often and was always constantly looking for new Kinnikuman sites.
Gosh, this Mars site went through tons of HORRIBLE layout designs and my soul
weeps for myself now.
After a while, I decided I wanted to change the layout and I actually thought
about changing the name of the site too. So I went on to start a new layout from
scratch using gray background with black and purple fonts and it was titled
'Demonic Heart'. But when I tested it on the web server, NOTHING was what I wanted
it to look like so I desperately tried to fix the html on Frontpage to fix what
I thought went wrong. After being frustrated, I ditched the whole idea away so
whatever what was currently published
on the internet (Strawberry of Darkness) was changed.
Then the day came where I became much less interested in Ultimate Muscle and
became more interested in other anime and other characters. Why? Because
Ultimate Muscle
wasn't on TV anymore and there was no 'alive' toy lines for it anymore, it is
kind of hard for me to really like something if it's almost nonexistent
around here. So unfortunately, I announced my site to be closed and deleted many
pages but there was one thing I kept up regardless of my interests, the image
gallery. I always felt that I should keep it up so if there was anyone who
wanted images of Mars, it was still there.
Out of nowhere, I decided to bring it back. I work on the new site, using new fresh layout and do
everything from scratch.. again. The old title sounded so horrible and the old
layout looked hideous which annoyed the crap out of me so I just had to do it.
Not to mention that I have gotten much better at html codes and web designing so why
not put those to the work and to the test as well? The title was changed from
'Strawberry of Darkness' to ' [ Cause I'm As Free As A Bird ] ' because Mars is a
bird man (IN MY EYES.) and the song seem to match him in my opinion. And I'm sure that some of
you probably wish you could grow wings and just travel off from the same old
place to do
whatever or go wherever your heart desire. ^^
So overall,
the reason why I made it in the first place was because Mars is awesome as
fuck. He's as awesome as anyone can get! I'm just a retarded fangirl with some kind of a sick compulsive obsession disorder and I
guess you could put it that way that once you're truly a fan of something, you're
always a fan of it at heart.
